Ah my darling golf bloggers, I feel such a fool.
You see, when Ngang Autombo e-mailed me about the recent death of his uncle, the noted warlord Col. Gumbo Autumbo, and asked for my help in freeing up $16 million (US) held in a secret vault, I jumped at the chance.
After all, as my Mum told me: “Always trust Nigerians.” Mum was a bit of a drinker, however. So, after spending some time getting that worked out, I am a bit poorer and smarter about these e-mail scam things. So now it’s back to the bloggers.
MediaGuru at Hooked on Golf Blog was wondering where I’ve been, but we know where he’s been: playing in a match-play tournament. So far so good for the Guru who won his first match as he zooms closer to post No. 1,000.
We see Golf Chick has been adding a little of her flavor to WorldGolf.com, but she’s becoming a relentless blogger herself. We’re dying to see what people have to ask her adorable, 11-year-old Great Dane in her new Ask Goose feature, where Goose will answer all golf-related questions thrown at her. And there is no doubt, Goose is a good girl.
Over at Texas Golf, Bogey McDuff is touting Tom Doughtie of Amarillo, who just took home the Texas Golf Association West Texas Amateur Championship at the Rawls Course. That makes three in a row for Tom.
Finally, the Armchair Golfer is one of many who enjoyed seeing Tiger Woods’ human side after he won the British Open. But Armchair wonders why Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia and others weren’t crying for other reasons.
Keep Blogging! (and so will I)
With her Blogger Leaderboard, Heather McMichael scans the web to bring WorldGolf.com readers the latest in what golf bloggers are saying about current news and events in golf, including PGA and LPGA Tour news, Tiger Woods, Michelle Wie and golf and travel destinations.
