Texan amateur heads to Women's U.S. Open and has them blogging in Texas

Thursday June 15, 2006 | 11:04:13 am 128 words, 1201 views

Texas Golf reports that amateur golfer, Taylor Leon, won the U.S. Women’s Open sectional qualifier at TPC at Craig Ranch. Her 141 earns her a spot on the U.S. Women’s Open. Nice to see some Texan talent coming through.

Meanwhile in Wales, Golf Punk tells us that the golf clubs in this neck of the woods have been a little slow to catch on to the internet revolution. The Welsh government is now encouraging the clubs to get online and reap the rewards of the Ryder Cup in 2010.

Another candidate for the great Father’s Day gift idea. Hooked on golf may not be impressed and maybe their advertising is not too flash, but what a great idea, I think this will surely be a winner.

Keep Blogging!!
