Expensive putters, country clubs and cheap golf equipment has bloggers grumbling

We all know what it’s like when we damage some golf gear. I have snapped several clubs trying to play the unplayable ball next to a tree. The Golf Nomad tells us of a recent near “heart attack” when his young son got access to his favorite putter.

Blimey! Golf Punk has found an article that reads about membership fees of $650,000 at one course. I think those fellas must have flags made of gold and greens lined with diamonds.

My local driving range is unfortunately fitted with those plastic golf mats. I have tried to practice on them but don’t get the same feel as when hitting off grass. As there are no grass ranges in my area, I don’t really have a choice but to use those facilities. We are told at Grouchy Golf that these mats are not good for your game. What do you think, are you happy hitting off an artificial grass mat?

If you use those mats to hit a few balls and warm up before you tee it up it will do the job. However, long practise sessions on these hard surfaces should be avoided. I have a number of friends who really like practising and they all come up with elbow problems on both arms. Besides, wheter you hit your irons fat, thin or flush, you always get the same result.

Grass is green. What color is grass?
