Video podcaster job ad irks Brittany Shoot, other feminist vloggers

Just when you thought it was safe to doff your top and go in the water, you end up feeling mashed about like the bollocksbag on a bassett hound at full trot. Just ask a couple of my colleagues here at GolfPublisher Syndications.

We’re looking for someone to host a video podcast we’re producing about all things golf. So nosing around the internet, one of our lads comes across a Yahoo group about video blogging ("vlogging,” if you please) and video podcasting. He posts a message to say that we’re:

“… looking for a video hostess to do video podcasts from her own home studio. This casting call is not region specific, (expats welcome)

We will be launching a daily and a weekly video series. These videos will be syndicated to many other portals throughout the world.

We reach over 2.4 million golfers a month via 40 online golf publications, We are the world’s largest network of golf publications.

If you are vivacious, hot, attractive and you have ability to get viewership, well, you could be famous.

Well, the video blogger types on the list went ballistic, right!? Especially the feminists. Rush Limbaugh would have a field day with this lot.

My personal favorite was an American trollop named Brittany Shoot who got her sensible cotton underwear in such a wad she ran to her blog to post this angry video soliloquy [warning, this tart has the mouth of a sailor so if you’re offended by profanity, look away].

Maybe Brittany is right. In fact, I’m going to tell our lads to rethink the whole thing …… if nothing else, I think golfers are just interested in golf, right, guys?

Oh, and for the record, Brittany is dead wrong. If an older hottie is interested in this opportunity, I’m told she will definitely get a look.

You have some nerve, lady. Seriously. You're going to start calling people names? I've got a few for you but I won't sink to your level. The "videoblogging types"? What does that mean, exactly? It's called the Videoglogging Group...what other types would there be? If you read the whole message board thread you'd know that Brittany's video had more to do with the message board members than the golf hostess posting.

As for THIS "videoblogging type", I wasn't all that offended by the golf hostess request. I thought I had seen the height offensiveness in the subsequent messages thereafter...but you've trumped them! Congratulations, Heather! You're the most offensive of them all!

(oh, and for the record, your a bit of a tarty trollop, yoruself!)

when did you first decide it was better economically to trash other women? is it a simple matter of demographics? do you believe that's what your male audience prefers?

not giving them much credit, I should think. I would think that more than a few of them have daughters, wives and girlfriends they would not like to see treated as you've treated Brittany.

but then, I don't know your audience as well as you do.

Omigod, that's hilarious! What a great analogy.

As far as the other stuff everyone's whining about, usually when someone of either gender resorts to foul language in a public arena, they make themselves open to ANY criticism. Somebody should ask BShoot if she kisses her grandmother with that mouth of hers.

I think more men will be downloading a video if the female hostess is attractive or a "hottie", not that I agree with it.

Just like watching the LPGA. Women's golf is getting more attention now with the addition of girls like Gulbis and Creamer.
