A young golfer has his say, while golf bloggers can't resist verse
We’re pleased to include Luke Swilor at our Worldwide Golf Blogs listings.
Luke is sharing his experiences as a young golfer trying to make it to the PGA Tour. In his most recent blog, you can just feel his excitement for the 2006 season. Keep us posted, Luke!
Over at Texas Golf, BogeyMcDuff has a great blog on why he’ll hire a fulltime caddie should he win the lottery. Seems the lovely Mr. McDuff has that common penchant for thinking he hits his clubs further than he really does.
“Coming up short is a commonality among amateurs. It’s as if we have some psychic barrier to going long. Going over the green must be a truly terrifying prospect,” writes McDuff.
Finally, in keeping with a strange phenomenon of golf bloggers needing to blog in verse, Insta Marv composes this sonnet to Tiger Woods:
Four rounds at Sherwood often funds his New Year’s night,
But Tiger’s tuckered out and just didn’t have the fight.
We know he won’t be in Hawaii, yet he won’t disclose his start,
The 2006 golfing season will have to open without Woods’ art.
Scoring, money and POY trophies, just more to feed his fame,
In 2005, we were privileged to watch Tiger seeking Nicklaus’s game.
46 wins, 10 Majors and Sorenstam text message replies,
“Possibly the Best Ever” is a term no PGA player denies.
Goatee’d or clean, wounded or in form,
The Man will beat you down like a category 5 storm.
