A wounded duck tries out some clubs while a Golf Chick avoids water

It feels like a delicious day to take a look at some new golf blogs, as well as revisit favorites.

First of all, Wounded Duck kind of frightens me. But I sort of like that. His interests: panic attacks, cold sweats, public humiliation, and coming to terms with the oblivion of death.

WD has been talking about clubs he has tried and wants (and you definitely need to have something to hit between a fairway wood and a 5-iron, dear). He also noted the Sky Caddie, a GPS yardage guide that he wants, but the $350 price tag is currently too hefty for his wounded wallet.

Over at Unplayable Lies, Matthew Ipsan is one of the golf bloggers to mention the passing of Mike Austin, the former pro and great instructor who also holds the record for the longest drive in a sanctioned event – 515 yards!

Finally, Golfchick has a great blog on golfing with men – who like to relieve themselves on the golf course. Golfchick is right, boys, you’ve probably been potty-trained for awhile and should be able to hold for a couple holes when a lady is present. And I just love Golfchick’s little digression about penis envy:

“I will admit that it does upset me that my lack of a penis earns me about 25% less salary than my male counterparts in my current professional position. Other than that, I can assure you that the only desire I have for a penis requires its attachment to my man,” writes the Chick.
