DiMarco's putt falls and golf bloggers start their engines
If you were watching the end of the President’s Cup and listened very closely moments after Chris DiMarco’s clutch putt to win it, you could actually hear golf bloggers around the world typing madly.
First, Mulligan does some Monday morning quarterbacking, questioning Gary Player’s pick of Trevor Immelman and declaring the U.S. would have been doomed had Ernie Els played.
Erik J. Barzeski gives a recap of how well the guys at the Sand Trap did on their President’s Cup predictions. One of the prognosticators did quite well – Erik J. Barzeski. Also, Matthew Ipsan takes a look at what some golf writers thought of the epic battle.
Finally, the Media Guru takes a look at another spectacular victory that occurred this weekend when David Duval made the cut at the Texas Open – the first 36-hole cut he’s made this year.
“He had missed 18 straight. I guess having 24 of the top pros in the world playing in the President’s Cup doesn’t hurt his cause. While the cat’s away …,” writes the Guru.
