Properly promoting Gulbis and Creamer, practicing a golf swing in bed has bloggers dreaming

Thursday September 1, 2005 | 08:41:49 am 194 words, 1447 views

At the Golf Blog Douglas gives us his ideas on how the LPGA can improve its image. Mostly it seems, Douglas wants them to spotlight the likes of Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis more. Douglas didn’t actually write that he thinks they should play in only bikinis, but you get that vibe.

The Golf Chick is heading to Nebraska and is looking for a place to play a round. Good luck with that, Chick. Just be careful of all the people running around painted red and screaming “Huskers!!!!!” They’re mostly harmless unless you’re from Oklahoma, I hear.

Finally, the Golf Bandit shows us that golf should permeate each and every area of a golfer’s life.

“I play a lot of rounds of golf in bed. I find it’s a great way to improve my game. … If you practice in bed long enough you can actually get to see yourself swinging the club in your mind’s eye,” wrote the Bandit.

I can understand if Tiger Woods visualizes his game in bed before a big tournament, but for the ordinary golfer? Let me just say there are many other options for things to do in bed.

If you don't imagine your swing in bed, take a mental tour of the course you're going to play tomorrow, and have long and complex golf dreams, you really need to reexamine your life.

Seriously? Tiger in bed visualizing his golf game? Yeah, right. Elin is probably knitting too.
