A dead goose and Donald Trump have them talking golf in Canada
A lot of golf news regarding Canada from golf bloggers, it seems. I have decided to pay attention, because with the NHL returning, we may not see anything golf-related from up there for a while.
First off, Triniman talks about his trip to La Verendrye Golf Course and how pleased he is with his new clubs.
The Golf Chick vents her anger and anguish over a Pittsburgh man who was arrested for beating a Canadian goose to death with a golf club. For those interested, no club manufacturer has yet produced a press release bragging about their “Revolutionary Goose-Splattering Technology.”
Robert Thompson pushes for the status quo upon hearing that Donald Trump wants to host a big tournament at his new, Tom Fazio-designed course.
“Be prepared to wait, Donald. You’ll be wearing a very gray hairpiece by the time someone comes knocking on your door to offer you that major event you are so keen on hosting.”
Maybe you haven’t heard up there in the North, Robert, but The Donald has a way of figuring these things out. My guess: If he wants a big event, he’ll get one in the next few years.
