New technology and old golf balls have bloggers scrambling for par
While most of my bloggers are talking equipment, Cody Thrasher keeps moving forward, giving an in-depth preview of the WGC-NEC Invitational which begins today.
At From Heel to Hosel they are talking about an article in USA Today discussing new technology in golf. Don’t they know that Tim McDonald thinks people are being hysterical over all this new technology? And speaking of technology, it’s nice to see that Tim’s new hair transplant is coming in nicely. Cheers, Tim.
The Media Guru checks in with a delightful little experiment. During a bad round on the scorecard, he decided to play a torn-up Bridgestone B330 ball on a par-5.
It turns out he got a par with the ball, leading him to a conclusion that would make the Cheap Bastard’s many chins vibrate with delight.
“So that makes me think that all those dozens of slightly scuffed V1’s, HX Tours, BlackMax’s and 330’s that are in my big ball bucket in the garage are still very playable,” wrote Media Guru.
